Objectives

With the project we would like to train and empower teachers with the needed knowledge about food in schools in relation to climate change. We would like to internationalize the positive experience and to exchange examples of good practice of ESD among partners and to obtain further guidelines and materials for the implementation of ESD into the entire school curriculum, as we believe this field is crucial for creating our youth’s positive attitude towards nature in present and future time.

Activities

As part of the project, we will hold national and international meetings for the teachers involved, where they will receive lectures by experts on various topics related to the food and climate change. We will also carry out practical activities and the use of digital apps. Teachers will exchange examples of good practice with each other on workshops. An important component of the project is the sharing of project ideas further with other stakeholders on international conferences.

Impact

At the end of the project, we expect the involved teachers will be more confident and properly empowered with new knowledge and ideas on ESD – food in schools and CC -, which they will pass on to students, and the project ideas will be spread among colleagues and other teachers at seminars and conferences at local, national and international level. A collection of materials (presentations, lesson plans, worksheets ...) will be created that will be freely available for all interested stakeholders
