STEM subjects are important subjects which help to understand the real life situations and cooking can be a great way of learning STEM subjects. The project Science of cooking wishes to encourage learning STEM subjects among adult persons with ID through cooking, making learning this subjects more appealing and fun in a way that does not just increases the knowledge about STEM subjects, but also independence of persons with ID.

Activities of the project include development of an innovative learning approach and toolkit to enable learning process for adult persons with ID in the field of STEM learning through cooking. Activities also include development of a game-based learning activity that will allow the target group of learners to firm their knowledge.

The results of the project will be a new innovative learning approach and tools for its implementation that educators will be able to use in the learning process of teaching STEM subjects to adult persons with ID. We expect that the project activities and results will increase skills and competences of educators to teach STEM related subjects, and at the same time enable learners to gain knowledge related to STEM and consequently become more inclusive in the modern society.
