▶Objectives
The main objective of the project was to equip young people with practical DIY skills and promote sustainable consumption, thereby directly addressing the horizontal priority of protecting the environment and combating climate change. We developed educational materials in the form of written lessons, video guides and interactive workshops to enable young people to apply their knowledge in real-life situations. By combining digital learning, DIY activities and entrepreneurial education based on case studies of handmade products, we wanted to encourage young people to think about their own initiatives or entrepreneurial paths. This objective was aligned with additional priorities such as promoting active citizenship, youth initiatives and youth entrepreneurship, as well as strengthening the employability of young people. We monitored their progress through structured evaluations and knowledge tests before and after the activities, which confirmed that the project objectives had been successfully achieved. An excellent example of the project's success is a young participant who, after a mobility programme in Maribor, where she focused on working with clay, opened her own ceramics workshop, confirming the concrete entrepreneurial res
▶Activities
In WP1, we ensured effective management, regular communication through monthly meetings, the use of tools such as ClickUp for task management, and systematic monitoring of progress and quality through internal evaluations. In WP2, we set up a project website, opened Instagram and YouTube profiles, published weekly content, conducted 19 mini surveys for young people, published three e-newsletters, created a promotional brochure and organised a final conference in Maribor. WP3 involved conducting national online surveys and focus groups with more than 40 young people to identify their interests and needs in terms of DIY skills and entrepreneurship. The results were analysed and compiled into a joint report. In WP4, we developed 20 theoretical e-lessons on green entrepreneurship and 20 practical DIY video units. We organised national training courses and pilot workshops where young people tested the content and expressed high satisfaction and progress in their skills. Within WP5, we carried out two international mobilities for young people in Maribor and Corfu and training for youth workers in Cyprus. Young people gained manual skills, experience in recycling, working with clay and developing entrepreneurship.
