β–ΆSummary

We initiated the DIGIMED project to strengthen collaboration within our consortium and to respond to the critical need for knowledge exchange and educational advancement in healthcare digitalization. With our Hungarian partner, with whom we have a longstanding relationship, we share the same laboratory technology, which has allowed us to synchronize our efforts more effectively. Meanwhile, our Bulgarian partner approached us for assistance in implementing this technology, highlighting the potential for broader cross-border cooperation. Additionally, as a non-profit organization dedicated to research and education, we recognized a significant opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of healthcare, both in terms of technical support and educational initiatives in digital health. We see significant potential in educating healthcare professionals and the general public about the benefits of digitalization. This project addresses both the technical implementation of innovative healthcare solutions and the broader educational mission of preparing the medical sector for the future of personalized medicine. By participating in this project, we aim to contribute to the advancement of healthcare across Europe.

β–ΆObjectives

The project aimed to improve the digitalization of healthcare, increase the quality of healthcare and strengthen international cooperation within our consortium. Our primary objective was to support education on digital health solutions, equipping healthcare professionals and institutions with the knowledge and skills needed to utilize advanced digital tools effectively. By fostering cross-border partnerships, particularly with Hungary and Bulgaria, we sought to promote a multidisciplinary approach, demonstrating how digitalization can lead to innovative solutions in healthcare. We envisioned this collaboration as a model for other countries, showing how shared resources and expertise can accelerate healthcare advancements. As part of the transfer of experience and knowledge within the consortium, mobility activities were very important for us, as well as the creation of a common platform for communication. Our educational outreach was effectively extended through a series of events tailored for young professionals and students, organized and executed by each partner in their respective countries, ensuring a broad and impactful spread of digital health education.
