The project is primarily focused on the priorities of improving school education and supporting the development of comprehensive educational goals of current basic education, taking into account especially children and students requiring increased educational support (especially children from disadvantaged social groups). The improvement of school education within the project is addressed as targeted interconnection and mutual coordination of formal education and non-formal education.

The activities will be theoretical and practical. Theoretical activities are focused on the comparison of conditions at the level of national educational concepts and the elaboration of models of functional coordination of formal and non-formal education of the participating countries. Practical activities are aimed at creating a framework program for non-formal education, its verification in practice and subsequent dissemination of examples of good practice in schools.

This project has the ambition to bring the first concrete solutions for the harmonization of formal and non-formal education, to ensure that the issue is addressed at system level, in international cooperation and with an impact on how education will be modeled in terms of broadly achieving the required educational objectives. The outputs of the project will be freely available on the project website, which will enable the sustainability of the project after its completion.
