Objectives

Climate change has become an important issue in the world and in Europe and the fight against it has become a necessity. The main aim of this project is to increase the awareness and knowledge of students of higher education institutions and young researchers in Türkiye about the importance of conscious smart livestock practices in the fight against climate change within the framework of the EU Green Deal.

Activities

Seminars on smart livestock practices in combating climate change will be held for higher education students. Young researcher training mobility in EU countries will be organized. An experiment will be conducted in in dairy cows to test smart livestock technologies in reducing gas emissions. The knowledge and experience of young researchers about the project will be increased. Meetings, workshops and seminars will be held.

Impact

Awareness and knowledge about the Green Deal, climate change and smart animal husbandry practices was raised in HE students and young researchers, Knowledge and skill levels of 200 HE students were increased by organized seminar courses on smart animal livestock practices in combating climate change. 5 young researchers were trained on innovative smart livestock applications in EU countries for 1 month and they gained experience. Findings from experiment was published in 2 scientific papers
