▶Objectives
We aim to propel Europe's green and food transition by rejuvenating the knowledge and crafts of fruit heritage within horticultural education. Our goal is to co-design innovative learning experiences that seamlessly reintegrate this vital fruit heritage into VET horticulture programs, preserving EU's cultural history and promoting ecological solutions for a sustainable future.
▶Activities
1. Understand fruit heritage's significance in the green/food shift and pinpoint educational hurdles. 2. Design collaborative learning for easy fruit heritage inclusion in VET programs. 3. Spot key learning experiences beneficial for students and stakeholders. 4. Develop strategies to use heritage topics in education for future green/food initiatives. 5. Launch a campaign emphasizing our method and fruit heritage's role in VET's green/food transition.
▶Impact
We anticipate delivering a comprehensive blueprint of three integrative learning experiences that weave fruit heritage into contemporary horticulture curricula. These experiences will combine products, services, and interactions with broader ecosystem actors. We will also introduce the 'from tradition to transition' toolkit, a guide for educators to adapt the project process regionally. Our dissemination efforts will encompass online events and extensive EU platform engagement.
