Objectives

Through the implementation of the project, we wanted to achieve the creation of an innovative methodology that would support young people in acquiring basic soft skills, complementing formal education. The main objectives included developing a method based on the LifeComp framework that would support personal growth, mental well-being and increasing the employability of young people. We also aimed to conduct a pilot training with 60 students, in which 20 of them would be actively trained in the application of the created methodology. In addition, we adapted the approach from the perspective of educators and provided training to 14 teachers and youth workers in its implementation. We assessed the impact of the applied methodology by collecting feedback from the trained students and teachers, with the aim of its improvement and sustainable development. The project aimed to increase the motivation of young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to actively participate in the educational process and in the life of their communities.

Activities

Three main activities were implemented within the project. The first involved the development of a methodology based on the LifeComp framework. We created content for 12 exercises covering key soft skills. The cards were tested with students from the partner countries and feedback was used for improvements. We also produced an infographic presenting the methodology and its benefits. The second activity was a learning mobility for students aged 13–17 in Bulgaria. 20 students participated in practical workshops where they applied the developed methodology. We carried out daily reflection and a final assessment of the acquired skills and group dynamics. The third activity involved training 14 teachers and youth workers in Romania. We created a handbook with guidelines for using the methodology. We also held 5 multiplier events (2 in Bulgaria and 3 in Romania), reaching over 100 people. All activities were accompanied by active communication on social networks and the partners’ websites.

Impact

As a result of the project, 12 educational maps based on the LifeComp framework were created, each of which included exercises for developing soft skills. We also developed a visual infographic summarizing the methodology and its application. We conducted 2 pilot sessions with a total of 60 students, of which 20 underwent full training with the application of the maps. We prepared an evaluation report from the pilot and an analysis of the needs for adaptation from the teachers’ perspective. We created a handbook with guidelines for teachers and youth workers on the application of the methodology. We trained 14 teachers during mobility in Romania. We organized 5 multiplier events (2 in Bulgaria, 3 in Romania), where we presented the results to over 100 participants. We published over 20 posts on social networks, raising awareness about the project and its resources. All materials were uploaded to the partners’ websites and the Erasmus+ results platform.
