Objectives

With this project, we wanted to help more people learn how to start and run businesses that are good for the planet. Our goal was to show that it’s possible to be both an entrepreneur and environmentally responsible. We believe that the future belongs to those who can create businesses that respect nature, reduce emissions and bring real value to society. Here’s what we aimed to do: - Create a training program that teaches people how to build a carbon-neutral business – in other words, a business that doesn’t harm the environment. - Support our trainers and team members to learn new things and improve their teaching with updated tools, so they can help others in the future. - Give learners and future entrepreneurs the knowledge and confidence to turn their green ideas into real projects or businesses. - Make a digital tool so that people can easily access the materials and learn at their own pace. - Test the program with real participants

Activities

We started the project by researching what carbon-neutral entrepreneurship means and how it can be integrated into vocational education. We studied the EU Green Skills Framework and adapted it to the realities of Bulgaria and Lithuania. This work resulted in a report highlighting good practices in carbon-neutral entrepreneurship. We then held internal workshops with our trainers and experts to turn this knowledge into a clear, practical training program. Based on these sessions, we developed three training modules focused on green thinking, creating sustainable business ideas and bringing those ideas to life. To support self-learning, we created three video lessons and published them on the project website as a user-friendly digital tool. We tested the program with 20 participants from each country. All who completed the course received a certificate. We organized several events in both countries to share our results and promote the training. The feedback from learners and stakeholders confirmed that the project offers valuable tools for anyone interested in green entrepreneurship.

Impact

First, we created a Good Practices Report on carbon-neutral entrepreneurship, based on research from Bulgaria, Lithuania and other EU countries. We developed a training curriculum with three modules: Module 1 – Why carbon-neutral entrepreneurship? Module 2 – How to develop a carbon-neutral business idea? Module 3 – Carbon-neutral conception in operational processes. To support learning, we created three video lessons based on the 3 Modules in English, Bulgarian and Lithuanian, available online on our project's website. We also produced a practical guide titled “10 Steps to Becoming a Carbon Neutral Business,” translated into English, Bulgarian and Lithuanian, to help learners apply what they’ve learned. We trained 40 participants (20 from each country), all of whom received certificates.
