▶Objectives
The main theme of the project is our environment, focusing on the critical issue of the alarming decline of biodiversity in the insect kingdom.The project should appeal to the pupils and stimulate their deeper interest in the environment around us, its importance and fragility.It should encourage them to investigate the fate of certain insects and to study their diversity. We will focus on key pollinators, bees and bumblebees: Are bees endangered and can we do without them in shaping our future?
▶Activities
Pupils of the 3 partner institutions will share their experiences of global problems related to the lack of pollinators. Students will verify scientific facts about pollinating insects. They will create presentations (technical part) and express their feelings and alarming situation in artistic form (posters, songs, essays etc.). Workshops (wax, honey products, insect hotel), visits of bee farms and institutions will be realised during two international exchanges, seminars, educational platform.
▶Impact
Students will create: Insect presentations on the topics: history, classification, characteristics, evolution, sociality, biology, ecology, medicine. 'Dictionary of Insects' Artistic products expressing the relationship between humans and insects in our lives through mythology and art (essays, posters, photographs, songs, quotes, etc.). Workshops - products made of honey, propolis, wax; insect hotels, bowls Visits - bee farms, cooperation with entomologic institutions Seminars - bee keeping
