▶Objectives
Our goal is to establish a professional educational platform that enhances the expertise of graduates of the “Nutrition Advisor” qualification with key competences essential for entrepreneurship in nutrition counselling, including legal, economic and marketing skills. We aim to train a large number of highly qualified nutrition advisors and nutrition therapists who will become respected authorities in the field of nutrition, supported by additional competences in psychology and coaching. At the same time, we seek to reduce the presence of self-proclaimed “nutrition advisors”, whose insufficient expertise and unprofessional practice undermine the credibility of genuine experts. Another part of our vision is to foster stronger cooperation between nutrition advisors and medical doctors. Together, they can provide comprehensive care with a focus on primary prevention and reducing the incidence of lifestyle-related diseases.
▶Activities
The main objective of the project was to create an educational platform that would provide the target group with the necessary knowledge and skills. Activities: 1. Partnership building – the project involved two partners: Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University (ECON MUNI) (CZ) and SimplyFit s.r.o. (SK). 2. Selection of lecturers – for the modules Economic Basics and Legal Basics, both Czech and Slovak experts were required due to differences in national legislation. 3. Development of study materials – all resources were created and uploaded to the Moodle e-learning platform. 4. Pilot delivery of the study programme – the course was designed in a blended format, combining self-paced distance learning in Moodle with practical sessions. These sessions were held both in person and online via Zoom. All sessions were recorded and made available in Moodle for later access. 5. Evaluation – the final phase focused on assessing the programme. Feedback was collected and summarised in the Evaluation Report. 6. Project management – the organisation of all stages, from engaging partners to evaluating feedback questionnaires, was carried out throughout the project and proved to be a key factor in the programme’s success.
▶Impact
The pilot edition confirmed that the project successfully achieved its objectives and Erasmus+ priorities. - A new, innovative and accredited study programme was created (2 semesters, blended learning via Moodle/Zoom/in person, 6 modules, 108 narrated presentations, 32 recorded practice sessions). - 22 out of 33 participants (67%) successfully graduated, strengthening subject knowledge and digital competences essential for nutrition counselling. - Accreditation by the Czech Ministry of Education – Business Basics (ref. MSMT-854/2025-4) – increased the programme’s value and graduates’ employability. - Successful graduates were awarded the title MBN – Master of Business Nutrition. Evaluation confirmed high satisfaction and practical benefit: - 92% reported improved entrepreneurial skills. - 95% would recommend the course. - 87% rated the lecturers as excellent. Impact analysis showed that the programme strengthened competences in law, economics, marketing and coaching, including the use of AI. A secondary outcome was the Welko Family initiative, building on graduates as ambassadors of healthy lifestyle, fostering communities and innovating approaches to nutrition counselling.
