▶Objectives
The aim of the project was to increase the reach and relevance of climate change education by creating accessible, multilingual, and multimedia learning tools that could be used by institutions, educators, and the public across Europe. Specifically, we wantedto translate, digitise, and promote existing C4CC resources to enable their cross-border use, foster digital readiness among partners and learners, and enhance climate awareness at local, regional, and EU levels. Through the creation of the perpetual wall calendar and interactive map, we wanted to offer entry points for action-based learning and to inspire everyday climate-conscious decisions. By targeting teaching bodies and local institutions, we aimed to reach a wide network of learners and decision-makers who could amplify the project’s message and impact.
▶Activities
The project involved four main activities. In Activity 1, all partners except SZM translated climate change resources from the previous C4CC project into English, including case studies, tasks, and subtitling videos.Activity 2 focused on the creation of aperpetual wall calendar by FIP, featuring monthly climate change topics linked to the online resources. The calendar was developed in all project languages and integrated QR codes connecting to the Climate Map platform, serving as the main offline entry point to project materials.Activity 3, led by SZM, developed the online interactive calendar and Climate Map. This platform includes filtering by country, language, and topic, hosts downloadable wall calendars, and links to the C4CC resources. QR codes on the calendars facilitate direct access to the digital map, enhancing user engagement.Activity 4 covered promotion and management. JFV handled overall coordination, finance, risk, and communication. INQUIRIUM focused on impact and sustainability, ISR ensured quality assessment, and FIP managed branding and design, supporting SZM with branded materials.
▶Impact
The project delivered a rich set of results to support climate education and action: - Climate change materials in Croatian, French, German, Greek, Italian and Romanian are available in the native language and in English. - Irish and Maltese resources are available in English. - Climate videos have received additional subtitles on YouTube and all materials have been organized for easy access on the project webpage - https://climate-map.eu/. The collection includes videos, case studies, and practical tasks showcasing monthly high- and low-tech solutions to climate challenges. - Six perpetual wall calendars were produced in different languages, each featuring monthly climate themes and QR codes linking directly to the online resources. These are freely downloadable and serve as a creative offline gateway to digital tools. - A fully functional, visually engaging online Climate Map was developed, offering all materials and calendars with filtering options for easy navigation. It is integrated on the project webpage. - The project engaged decision-makers, expanding its audience across the EU, and building a solid foundation for future collaboration and long-term impact.
