Objectives

Capacity building in terms of a new YW approach to the "digital": digital youth work to include a socio-political and citizenship/human rights-related perspective. Organisations and practitioners from democracy- and participation-related youth education, youth work and youth in 3 areas relevant for young people: Sustainability/environment, participation/activism, identity/digital self. participatory bridging practice and structures/policy of youth work (Bonn Process) via digital transformation.

Activities

Connecting and analyzing relevant practices. Networking / mutual learning of practitioners of democracy- and participation-related youth education and youth work, young people, (digital) civil society in a Digital Youth Work Hub. On this basis, the project develops and evaluates practical approaches. Analysis and practice flow into a handbook. Results and reflections flow into a participatory process (Youth Policy Labs) with young people and policy actors, as well as into policy recommendations.

Impact

Analysis of relevant practices and approaches for democracy-related, digitally inclusive youth work/education. Developing approaches to integrate democracy-related learning on digitalisation in the core fields of environmental activism/education, youth participation, learning about the digital self. Create a practical and useful handbook applicable in different contexts of youth work and education. Participatory and cross-sectoral developed results with relevance for the EYWA/Bonn process.
