Our goal was to create development—both for students and for our organisations. We wanted to offer students ambitious and motivating projects in an international context, showing them how their musical skills could serve a greater artistic purpose. The projects were carefully age-differentiated to ensure meaningful participation. At the organisational level, we aimed to learn from each other’s school structures and local cultures. We wanted to explore how strong, committed communities and artistic ambition could lead to steep learning curves, challenging the idea that instrumental learning must follow a linear, isolated path. We also offered our partners concerts with themes of inclusion, openness, and tolerance, followed by opportunities for reflection and dialogue.
