Objectives

The aim of this project is to develop knowledge, competences and new methodology on kindergarten teachers and other educators to use music and the learning tool Musicon in teaching foreign languages. This will be done through purchasing specific musical instruments and developing competences on working with it effectively and sharing the knowledge with seminars, trainings, sample lessons and else with other educators and teachers. This project introduces Musicon and music into ways of teaching.

Activities

After having purchased the Musicon and outdoor musical instrument we will have a test period of learning the instruments; 2 learning mobilities to Estonia and Poland with training on the new methodology and competences on teaching language through music; implementing the new methodology; creating the sample language lessons to share on our website, wider seminar for educators, methodology workshop of Musicon in festival and trainings for other educators as well as through news article.

Impact

The project will result in a practical 10 lessons on teaching language to young kids through music, using Musicon. For educators and language teachers in early childhood, teachers will be trained and qualified to use Musicon and music as a learning tool to teach language and speech development. For kindergarten aged children directly, they will learn to speak foreign languages, Estonian and English especially, through play and music more easily and having a great impact on overall development.
