▶Objectives
By implementing the project, our aim was to equip Vocational Education and Training (VET) educators with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to effectively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching practices. The project aimed to address the growing need for digital transformation in education, ensuring that both educators and students were prepared for the demands of the modern workforce. The key objectives included: Creating a Comprehensive AI Tool Database: A curated list of 30 AI tools tailored to the needs of VET educators was compiled and categorized by functionality, serving as a valuable resource for teachers navigating the expanding landscape of AI technologies. Developing Best Practices and Case Studies: 22 exemplary case studies of AI integration in VET settings were compiled, highlighting practical applications and innovative methodologies. Piloting AI Tools: Through rigorous testing of 12 AI tools using Bloom’s Taxonomy, the project assessed their relevance and effectiveness in enhancing teaching and learning. Empowering Educators: Training sessions were conducted for 58 VET teachers, providing hands-on experience and actionable insights, enabling them to confidently use AI tools.
▶Activities
In our project, we implemented a series of carefully structured activities aimed at achieving the objectives of equipping Vocational Education and Training (VET) educators with the skills and resources needed to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching practices. These activities were conducted through a combination of face-to-face meetings, collaborative tools, and virtual communication, ensuring efficiency and alignment across all partners. Kick-Off and AI Tool Survey (Valga): The project began with a kick-off meeting in Valga, where partners aligned on objectives, roles, and deliverables. A comprehensive survey of AI tools was conducted, resulting in a curated list of 30 tools relevant to VET education. AI Tools Piloting (Pyrgos): A second key meeting was held in Pyrgos, where partners evaluated the piloted AI tools selected from the initial survey. Using Bloom's Taxonomy, educators tested the tools in real-world teaching scenarios, providing feedback on their effectiveness and usability. Development of Resources (Vilnius): In Vilnius, partners reviewed the data and insights gathered from the piloting phase. This culminated in the creation of the Teacher Short Manual and an online portfolio of AI tools.
▶Impact
The project produced several concrete outputs and results, significantly contributing to the modernization of vocational education and training (VET) through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). AI Tools Database: A comprehensive list of 30 AI tools relevant to the VET sector was compiled and categorized based on functionalities. This resource helps educators identify the most suitable tools for their teaching needs. Case Studies:22 xemplary case studies were developed, demonstrating how AI tools can be effectively applied in real-world teaching scenarios. These provide practical insights and best practices for VET educators. Detailed AI Tool Profiles: Twelve AI tools were rigorously evaluated using Bloom's Taxonomy, resulting in detailed profiles that highlight their pedagogical value. These are accessible through a publicly available online platform. Educator Training: Twelve VET educators received targeted training, enhancing their digital skills and enabling them to integrate AI tools effectively into their teaching practices. Teacher’s Manual: A concise and practical Teacher’s Short Manual was created, offering guidelines, strategies, and actionable recommendations for integrating AI tools into education.
