Objectives

Our main objective was to raise awareness about global issues among students and to contribute to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. So we designed activities, workshops and visits to achieve the following objectives: -To motivate students to think critically and creatively about issues related to environmental sustainability. -To raise awareness about each article in the Declaration of Human Rights and make students protect and defend both their rights and the rights of others, based on values such as equality,dignity,respect,non-discrimination -To create a safer and more peaceful world by promoting inclusion and diversity, making students get rid of their bias toward people who are different from them. -To increase the number of people with an entrepreneurial mindset by teaching students the hard and soft entrepreneurship skills and to provide students with opportunities in real-life. -To develop school motivation of the students in the risk group and contribute to decreasing early school leaving and absenteeism rates -To develop students’ ICT and foreign language skills.

Activities

Brainstorming and team working activities: Visual presentation and contest of the research on specific articles from the Declaration of Human Rights. Creation of digital comics based on them. Training activities related to the Global Goals:Entrepreneurship, digital marketing strategies, an international enterprise, -on-line training about avoiding reinforcing stereotypes. Environmental sustainability. Podcast training at the multimedia studio in Torre Barrina, Hospitalet . A podcast on environmental issues Dissemination campaign at partner schools. Workshops: "You could be me" by the “Casal dels Infants” NGO explained their task helping migrants. A panel “Why Human Rights Matter’ led by a lawyer from the Samsun Bar Association and teacher participants as panelists. Visits to: -An international enterprise ANJE (Association of Young Entrepreneurs) incubator and the BGA (Brave Generation Academy) -Visit to “Els Espigoladors" ,a non-profit organization that reduces waste and improves food usage by employing people at risk of social exclusion. - Guided activity in a German local forest about biodiversity and sustainability. Press and media interviews. Evaluation report Visual presentations on YouTube and on the school websites
