Objectives

To train shepherds for a mountain management focused on safeguarding fodder resources, maintaining and improving the biodiversity of our mountains and making them more resilient to climate change. This will be achieved through the creation and implementation of a new course in the EPC training and the improvement of the pastoral diagnosis course (PD) taught at the CFPPA.

Activities

1) Training of teaching staff in the methodology of pastoral diagnostics, which will equip them with the skills and knowledge to be able to create and teach a PD subject (A1). 2) Creation and pilot testing of the new PD training module, which will be incorporated into the training plans of the two partner organisations (A2) 3) Communication and dissemination of the results to other training centres, professionals and other key actors (A3)

Impact

Training of 4-6 teachers from the two partner training centres to conceive and implement a subject on PD, in order to transfer this methodology to the students. - Creation and implementation of a new PD subject that will enable 125-145 students to be trained in the next 5 years. - Dissemination of the of the new subject created to other training centres, professionals and key agents that may end up being trained and incorporating it in their day-to-day work.
