Objectives: 1. To create a development plan for the ‘Green Way Arts and Crafts ’- green skills-training program for the qualifications of arts and crafts. 2.To reach a common understanding of the key green skills needed by future professionals in the arts and crafts sector. 3. To strengthen the role of vocational education in the arts and crafts sector by innovating educational models for training sustainable development and responsibility. The Pro Green Way Arts and Crafts project was Erasmus+ KA-210 VET initiative that brought together representatives from vocational education institutions from Finland, France, and Portugal. The goal was to collaboratively define the essential green skills for the future of the arts and crafts industry and create a development plan for integrating these skills into educational programs. Key themes and objectives of the project centered around the green transition and its implications for the arts and crafts sector and education.
▶Activities
The key activities were the Kick of Teams Meeting,Teams Meetings during the project timeline, 3 Workshops and the Dissemination Webinar. The key activities of the project consists of three workshops, each hosted by one of the participating countries.These workshops focus on key themes and objectives centered around the green transition and its implications for the arts and crafts sector and education. The first workshop took place in Helsinki, Finland, in June 2024. There was explored the role of vocational education institutions in driving the green transition forward. In October 2024,the second workshop was held in Vitré, France, where the project group worked together to define the core green skills required for the arts and crafts professions of the future. The third and final workshop was held in Coimbra, Portugal, in March 2025. During this event, the project group finalized its development work,a comprehensive plan for future educational program focused on green skills, including the key professional requirements of green skills in the field of arts and crafts. The results of the project and the follow-up project diagram proposal for further development use were presented at a project`s dissemination webinar held in May.
▶Impact
Results: 1.The develop plan for green skills training program for the qualifications of arts and crafts. 2.Green skills to arts and crafts sector studies based on common understanding of international partner group. 3. Advanced awareness and development of the arts and crafts sector towards green values with new educational innovations. The concrete outputs and results were developed according to the goals, and the goals were realized. During the project ,through joint structured workshops, and by getting to know the partner countries' education in the field, the needs of education in the green transition, students in the field, companies in the field, schools and arts professionals, it was possible to reach a common understanding of the key green skills needed by future professionals in the arts and crafts sector. During the project it was found Innovate educational models for training as well, emphasizing sustainable development and responsibility. Finally, in the final workshop, as was planned, a development plan for green-skills training program was completed with mutual understanding, and formulated into a model for further development. In addition, a model for further development was created in collaboration.
