โ–ถObjectives

We wanted to establish an international active cooperation network in the field of automation and robotics, which focuses on developing learning environments and teaching methods. We wanted to get to know automation and robotics teachers from different countries personally, so that cooperation would be easier in the future. Previously, we did not have information about the curricula, learning environments and equipment in different countries related to automation and robotics teaching, so this kind of project helped us to get information about the aforementioned issues. During the project, we wanted to collect information about automation and robotics learning environments and teaching methods in Europe. Based on the information collected, we wanted to build a new kind of learning environment for automation and robotics teaching on the OSAO campus. We also wanted to develop teachers' language, cultural and software skills. The goal was also to gain positive experiences from such a project in such a way that it encourages continuing international cooperation. So the goal is to launch other projects after this first project. The idea was that after this project, our cooperation will also become part of 'everyday' and will continue

โ–ถActivities

During the project, we organized three separate active and functional workshops in each target country. (Oulu-Valencia-Warsaw). In addition, we organized an average of one online meeting per month (Teams meeting). During the workshops, teachers will learn how to use new modern robotics and automation equipment and control programs. In addition, during the workshops, we will learn new teaching methods and ways to teach automation and robotics skills. In the workshops, we developed and brainstormed together the learning environment for OSAO's new campus. For example, we introduced new audiovisual systems to support teaching so that face-to-face- and online teaching would be more effective. We designed a modular, easily adaptable learning environment layout that better suits different teaching situations. In each target country, we received information during the workshops about the school, curricula, learning environments, companies in the field, and teaching equipment. As an important point, we were able to observe how the teaching is practically organized in each target country. In the each workshop, we were also able to visit companies in the automation and robotics fields of different target countries.

โ–ถImpact

We have established an active international network of educational institutions in the field of automation and robotics. The network uses a common Teams platform, where project documents and, among other things, common training materials are stored for use by all parties. We have gotten to know each other during the project and created good relations with all parties. We have learned a lot about the cultures of different countries and we understand each other better now. We have given a lot of presentations and held discussions in English, and it has developed the teachers' language and communication skills. During the project, we have been able to get to know different robotics and automation learning environments and equipment in different target countries. In the future, it will help to develop education in each target country and to make the right investments in automation and robotics equipment. We have built a new automation and robotics learning environment in the OSAO campus, which better meets the challenges of the future. We have also learned from each other different skills related to automation and robotics programming and teaching methods. This successful project has increased teachers' motivation in their work.
