This project aims to actively engage local youth, particularly those with fewer opportunities in improving public spaces and transforming them to peace places. It aims to create new innovative methodology for youth led local peace focused participation processes. It will increase of competences of 48 youth leaders and formation of dozens of active local youth groups. It will create an international community of young people committed and capacited to build peace through local actions in Europe.

Guided by trained youth leaders and coached by youth workers and non-formal education professionals and architects the project aspires to establish an international community focused on bringing peace locally in the public space. Over two implementation cycles, the initiative employs a series of workshops to build trust, facilitate participatory mapping and design, and ultimately develop proof of concepts for each chosen public space by local youth groups.
โถImpact
Deliverables will include a innovative methodology (Building Peace Places Manual), 48 trained youth leaders, dozens of participatory local processes with marginalized youth, accessible 3D Maps of Peace, a documentary film of stories on change, collaboration model with local decision makers, and over 100+ Proof of Concepts created by youth that will be presented at national and international events, with an emphasis on themes of inclusion, safety, peace, active citizenship, and expression.
