Objectives

TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE PRACTICES Promote education and information literacy and environmental issues through the co-production of stories and media productions between students, teachers and journalists with 2 themes: - information professions; - environmental issues related to global warming in Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) and Galati (Romania). CO-CONSTRUCTION We encourage cooperation between teachers and journalists, actors from professional worlds who are not used to collaborating. Co-construction leads to actions where everyone acts according to their skills, their missions, their practices. Teachers do not become journalists. Reporters do not improvise as teachers. Regarding work on the environment, direct contacts with scientists are privileged. FEEL EUROPEAN The partner establishments wish to open up to Europe. Two school mobilities promote cultural openness and raise awareness of the participants' European citizenship. For Romanian students, this is an opportunity, as part of learning French as a foreign language, to be in contact with the French-speaking world.

Activities

MEDIA AND INFORMATION WEBINARS The students discussed several times with their school's partner journalists. By asking them questions, they discovered the profession of journalist and the challenges of information production. They were made aware of issues that concern them, such as false information that is disseminated on social networks. CO-REALIZATION OF STORIES The dialogue with journalists continued with the co-production of reports/interviews to understand, in a concrete way, how quality information is produced and the work required to produce it. The classes benefited from the advice of professional journalists to develop questionnaires and then organize and conduct interviews. MEDIA PRODUCTIONS The journalistic work was finalized through various media productions produced by the students on various media: video, audio, written, etc. TWO MOBILITIES Two school trips were organized: - 21 students and 3 teachers from the Alexandru Iona Cuza National High School in Galați went to Boulogne-sur-Mer. - 18 students and 4 teachers from the Roger Salengro College went to Romania.

Impact

PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT The management costs item allowed the classes to equip themselves with equipment and tools that were used during the project and that will subsequently be used in other educational activities. It covered small expenses incurred when hosting the partner establishment. THE COREALISED REPORTS The two classes developed 10 questionnaires. With the help of journalists, they interviewed people who were able to answer their questions. These interviews translated into French are freely accessible and downloadable: https://globe-reporters.org/spip.php?rubrique471 THE DISCOVERY OF BUCHAREST AND GALATI During the mobility in Romania, young French people from social backgrounds who travel very little were able to discover the capital Bucharest and the Galati region. DISCOVERING THE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES RELATED TO THEIR NEARBY ENVIRONMENT In France, Romanian students worked on coastal issues and participated in the Team for Ocean festival organized by Nausicaa on the occasion of World Oceans Day. TELEVISION BROADCASTS The Galati class conducted 3 television interviews. OTHER MEDIA PRODUCTIONS The students produced various media productions: podcasts, Instagram posts, etc.
