Objectives

We wanted to give more meaning to vocational education by connecting it to a concrete, European project rooted in real market needs. Our objectives were to: Develop our students' professional skills (administration, logistics, and transport). Offer them a valuable international experience with a Spanish training centre and a real company. Strengthen their autonomy, cultural awareness, and language skills. Align vocational training more closely with the needs of the labour market. Promote vocational pathways to both students and the general public. And above all, build a sustainable partnership between the French school, the Spanish training centre, and the Maeva company, in order to ensure long-term cooperation.

Activities

Multiple activities were carried out throughout the project. Here are the main ones: Linguistic activities: Video conferences Activities focused on professional vocabulary Email writing Student-to-student interactions Professional activities: Hands-on logistics operations Stock management Transport management Research on olive oil as a product Market study Logo design with a graphic designer Company visits Comparison of administrative documents between the two countries Cultural activities: International trips Cultural visits Gastronomic discoveries Exchanges and sharing of each country’s traditions

Impact

- During class hours, the French students conducted various research projects on the history, consumption, production, and pricing of olive oil across Europe. - Two video conferences were held between the French and Spanish students, which helped create connections, get to know one another, and develop shared project plans. - A mini-company was created by the Spanish students, linked to the olive oil project and aligned with their administrative training curriculum. - A logo was fully designed by the French students. This logo represents the identity of the project. It was created by combining several initial sketches. To finalize the students' draft, we collaborated with a professional graphic designer. The logo is now displayed on the olive oil containers being sold, as well as on the exchange documents. - Following the delivery of three pallets of olive oil, students were able to carry out logistics-related tasks: receiving goods, storage, digital inventory management, and order preparation. - Company visits in Spain: Maeva (our supplier) and a cooperative in Villacarrillo - Cultural visits in both Spain and France (the Alhambra in Granada and the Hat Capital Museum in Chazelles-sur-Lyon).
