Objectives

The hybrid eTwinning & Erasmus+ 'PS2ET' project aimed to develop our learners' technical skills in home automation (Smart Home) and renewable energies (photovoltaic and hydroelectric) to meet the objectives of the European Green Deal, while improving their digital skills and their ability to work in transnational teams. From a pedagogical perspective, we wanted to promote the exchange of good practices between teachers from the three countries and improve the attractiveness of vocational education through innovative collaborative pedagogy, via the eTwinning platform. The project also aimed to raise awareness among our future electricians about climate issues and their role in the energy transition, while developing their European civic consciousness. This multidimensional approach, combining technical excellence and environmental awareness, aimed to train eco-responsible European electricians capable of meeting tomorrow's challenges. Through promoting inclusion in our professional sections, we also wanted to contribute to enhancing the value of vocational training and combating school dropout.

Activities

Our project was structured around three complementary axes. Remote collaborative activities engaged FR/ES/BE learners in weekly eTwinning activities: video conferences, various creations (puzzles, quizzes, logos, slogans, ebooks), 3 collaborative digital magazines documenting each mobility, an exhibition on renewable energies and energy savings, and exchanges of practical work videos. Three transnational mobilities (AEF) were organized. In France at Saint Martin d'Hères : focus on energy distribution with visits to the EDF Hydro Alpes Campus and Schneider Electric's IntenCity building, practical work on electrical distribution and solar panels. In Spain: practical work on lighting and photovoltaics with visits to AETECH and a photovoltaic park. Following the Belgian cancellation, replacement with an AEF in Paris: practical work on connected agriphotovoltaic greenhouse, visits to Quai d'Orsay and Arts et Métiers. The organization of dissemination events for ERASMUS DAYS and exhibitions in each VET institution. The overall aim was to train eco-responsible European electricians contributing to the Green Deal objectives of 55% carbon reduction by 2030.

Impact

CONCRETE ACHIEVEMENTS 6 home automation teaching systems, 44 multilingual tutorial videos, 4 Madmagz magazines, electrician tools ebook, logo/slogan, renewable energy exhibitions in each VET institution, 2 mini wind turbines, 12 rotating practical workshops during mobilities, publication of practical work statements on TwinSpace. STUDENT RESULTS Innovative experience in professional section, strengthened self-esteem and dropout prevention, continued studies, broadened cultural/professional horizons, acquisition of technical skills in home automation/renewable energies, linguistic/digital development, reinforced European citizenship. TEACHER BENEFITS Improved school climate, exchange of transnational good practices, strengthened interdisciplinary work, new skills in home automation/renewable energies and English. VET IMPACT Enhanced European dimension, enhanced value of the vocational pathway, strengthened quality of programs, increased attractiveness of electrician training. eTwinning France quality label obtained, PTI obtained the eTwinning School label. 'Les Pros d'Or 2025' award.
