Objectives

Main objective of the project is to empower, train, connect and involve young people as active disaster workers and rescuers; at the same time raising their awareness of the climate change protection, promoting the transition from awareness to active engagement. The project aims to improve skills, self-confidence and opportunities of young relief workers to actively combat natural disasters and climate change in their communities through concrete local initiatives and dialogue EU communities.

Activities

- Analysis of youth engagement practices through Edutainment Applied game; - Development of digital knowledge self-assessment toolkits; - Innovative Piloting Activities with digital risk response systems; - Handbook of Disaster Management as a learning programme; - Community outreach strategy; - Final local events (in each country); - Video production to tell the community engagement process and its results on social media; - Impact and results exploited over time (sustainability plan).
