▶Objectives
TAISTY responded to the demands of the DIGITAL EDUCATION ACTION PLAN (ACTION 6) to help teachers and educators to understand the potential that the applications of AI and data use can have in education and to raise awarenessof the possible risks. Our project exploited the potential of a pedagogical-sound use of Chatbots like ChatGPT for information research, brainstorming and combination of information to support the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of practical trainings in the field of culinary. TAISTY created tailor-made AI enriched teaching and learning scenarios to motivate teaching staff and learners towards an improvement of the digital skills. Learners with fewer needs (e.g. dyslexia ) were involved focusing on low-threshold and “multi”-media solutions (text, pic, videos) to help them to learn better. AI use also fostered a greener recipe creation and reduction of food waste (e. g. portioning of food recipes). In addition, the use of AI like ChatGPT required a pedagogical driven reflection of applicable practices in training; this requires especially hands-on guidance on ethical use, “hallucinations” (false answers of AI), and classroom strategies (e. g. GDPR / data protection, brainstorming tasks).
▶Activities
Activity 1: IPS led TAISTY project and therefore Project management and its entire coordination. This included the implementation of project tasks and administration. Monthly online meetings (10x) were organized by IPS and documented by minutes. SCP was responsible for quality assurance. TPM 1 took place on-site in Limassol TPM 2 took place in Modica. Activity 2 focused on the development of guidelines for the pedagogical-sound use of AI in culinary training. SCP led Activity 2. This involved development of a teachers training pedagogically-sound and ethical model Activity 3 involved scenarios understanding for existing and blended recipes from IT and CY and the use of AI (chatbots like ChatGPT) in training. This was followed by the testing and formative evaluation (questionnaire based, by teachers and trainers) of the created recipes. Activity 4 The teachers (culinary training) of the participating organisation were involved in transversal promotion activities as well as teachers (around 30) from associated schools in the area. Students (around 200) from the field of catering were reached, and around 100 more from further schools.

Activity 1 12 Meetings: 10 online and 2 on-site meetings (TPM 1+2) Teacher Training Event in Italy TAISTY Project Management Guidebook TAISTY Online Management Platform Quality Assurance Plan Activity 2 Pedagogical guidelines (ca. 20 pages, text, EN, IT, GR) for school teachers to use AI in culinary training. The guidelines present the TAISTY training model for the pedagogical sound integration of AI in culinary training, lesson plans, evaluation forms, presentation of Chatbots like ChatGPT, what are “prompts”, how to create a good prompt, ethical use etc. Activity 3 - 14 lesson plans, - 14 short learning videos to document the procedure and learnings and integration in TAISTY YouTube channel - 14 formative evaluations of the recipes cooked or baked - 14 translated lessons plans and learning videos (subtitles) from EN into IT and GR. Activity 4 Transversal promotion activities: The Italian organisation developed a promotion plan with relevant quantitative and qualitive indicators for online and offline promotion measures.
