▶Objectives
The topic of agriphotovoltaics was addressed using an innovative approach based on animations and short videos to create training modules, which are available online to anyone interested in the topic. Specifically, the AGRI4ENERGY consortium has set the following objectives: - conduct an updated analysis of agriphotovoltaics in Italy and Greece to identify the main characteristics of existing systems, case studies related to the main crops in the countries involved, and the main reference regulations; - develop at least 10 training modules that include animations, video interviews with experts, and videos on specific technical aspects and case studies; - promote the use of the modules through specific dissemination efforts on the main social media and web platforms, and through institutional channels to facilitate access to the developed training material and maximize its visibility among target groups and stakeholders.
▶Activities
AGRI4ENERGY was implemented through three main activities. The first activity focused on identifying the content that the training pills should cover. The content research and analysis phase was implemented, both in Italy and Greece, through desk research and interviews with experts. The second activity involved the creation of training material in the form of training pills. More specifically, the following types of videos were produced: video animations using the stop motion animation technique; short videos on the more technical aspects of agriphotovoltaic system installations and case studies; and video interviews with experts to delve deeper into the more complex issues of agriphotovoltaics. The partners also created an e-learning platform where all the training pills are available. The third activity aimed to present the training pills to target groups, institutional stakeholders, and all those potentially interested in gaining greater knowledge about agriphotovoltaics.
▶Impact
The concrete results produced by AGRI4ENERGY were the following: - an in-depth report on all aspects of agriphotovoltaics. Scientific articles, research reports, and popular publications were analyzed. The information acquired through the analysis of the publications was then integrated with that obtained from interviews with experts. The full report is available in English, while a summary has been translated into Italian and Greek; - the following training modules: 3 stop-motion video animations, available in English with Italian and Greek subtitles; 10 training modules on the more technical aspects of agriphotovoltaics; other training modules derived from demonstration videos provided by the companies identified as case studies; - an e-learning platform where the training modules are available and accessible, along with other training materials. The platform also allows participants to obtain a certificate of recognition of the skills acquired after passing a specific test; - the organization of two webinars, one in Italy and one in Greece, presenting the training modules and the e-learning platform.
