Objectives

The main objective is improving competencies of the learners about critical understanding of the environmental impact of classic cementitious materials used today for the preparation of the materials to be used in practical applications, for soil stabilization or related purposes. The proposed program will give the opportunity to people from lower social backgrounds and underrepresented groups to gain a complete practical and theoretical background to enter in this specific labor market.

Activities

Main activities are focused to train the selected learners: 1. blended interactive sessions for the theoretical background and sensibilization of participants to the environmental impact of cement and classic construction materials, to the correct use of cement in simple domestic applications to reduce environmental cost, 2. two practical professional trainings at two labs (DTU and GEEG-Sapienza, Denmark and Italy), 3. Collection of best practices developed during the trainings.

Impact

The learners will be able to work in private laboratory, or for a company in the construction civil sector with specific practical and theoretical background in the field of soil improvement, construction materials selection, characterization and application. As tangible deliverable, the project will produce also a public report wtih all results, developed actions, all results in terms of participation and quality of the training activities and developed best practices.
