▶Objectives
The “My Career” project aimed to strengthen partners’ capacity and that of their networks to support migrants’ labour market integration through career guidance. Its main objective was to increase staff competences in using methods and tools that help migrants recognise their skills while remaining feasible in daily work with limited time and resources. At a broader level, the project contributed to the Erasmus+ priority “Inclusion and Diversity” by improving adult education and guidance professionals’ ability to overcome cultural and linguistic barriers to employment. It also aligned with the sector-specific priority of enhancing educators’ competences, focusing on inclusive, culturally sensitive guidance that fosters migrants’ self-awareness and motivation. Practically, the project aimed to: identify and exchange effective, easy-to-implement guidance methods; strengthen staff competences through accessible training materials and peer learning; and disseminate results widely for transferability and sustainability. By the project’s end, staff capacity to integrate career guidance into existing services improved, understanding of migrants’ skill-building increased, and resources were developed to support other organisations.
▶Activities
The project was implemented as planned through four main activities: Project Management and Coordination: Regular online and in-person meetings ensured smooth delivery, progress monitoring, and coherence between local and transnational activities. My Career Collection of Best Practices: Partners exchanged experiences via online meetings and two study visits. In June 2024, ACLI visited LoPe in Skien to observe the “microintegration” approach; in September 2024, LoPe visited ACLI in Bergamo to learn the “job desks” model. Six adaptable best practices were identified. Production and Sharing of “My Career Training Pills”: From October 2024 to July 2025, partners co-developed short digital modules based on the best practices, designed for easy replication and time-efficient guidance. Multi-Channel Dissemination Campaign: Results were shared locally and internationally through digital platforms, newsletters, and professional networks, enhancing visibility and sustainability. Overall, the project strengthened staff competences, deepened partner cooperation, and produced practical tools supporting migrants’ inclusion and employability beyond its duration.
▶Impact
The “My Career” project delivered concrete, measurable results aligned with its objectives and the Erasmus+ goals of inclusion, employability, and capacity building. 1. Strengthened coordination and management: Partners used tools including a Partnership Agreement, GANTT chart, surveys, risk plan, and a multi-channel dissemination strategy. Regular narrative and financial reports ensured transparency, quality, and timely achievement of objectives. 2. Identification of best practices: Online meetings, study visits, and bilateral sessions produced a comparative analysis of career guidance in Italy and Norway, resulting in a Best Practices Guidebook featuring six adaptable approaches with practical examples for wider use. 3. Increased staff competences: Short digital “Training Pills” based on the six best practices improved professionals’ ability to apply new tools flexibly. Microlearning formats facilitated practical application, while digital dissemination promoted sustainability. 4. Wide dissemination and visibility: Results were shared via websites, newsletters, social media, and EPALE, reaching over 5,000 professionals and supporting replication and long-term impact beyond the partnership.
