Objectives

By organising an international video festival, this project aim at enhancing employability of a group of young people in Italy, Hungary and Belgium, in the cinema and video production labour market. This outcome will be achieved through a specific training and activities increasing participation and involvement of a wider group of youth that will take part into the video projections and debates on the specific issues. This will encourage activation and engagement around issues dear to them.

Activities

45 young people from 3 countries work together to realise an international video festival, supported and professionally trained by the project partners through a 7-day in-person and 160-hour online training and tutoring. They organize and implement the festival: video call and selection, organisation of events. During 3 OFF Events, other 300 young people involved select the videos, discuss their topics and collect elements to share with decision makers in an advocacy action (appeal).

Impact

An international video festival made entirely by young people with the support of experts; technical and professional training for 45 young people interested in working in the film and visual arts sector. Local events involving a broader group of young people, fostering moments of debate and discussion and the construction of an “appeal” made by young people to public decision-makers. Growth in the feeling of protagonism of the young people involved as well as increased employability.
