Objectives

Thanks to this project, partner organisations have enhanced the skills of youth workers and educators in promoting the social inclusion of young people with disabilities in sports, recreational and outdoor activities. The project has combined innovative educational tools with initiatives of great social impact, creating concrete training opportunities and encouraging the sharing of experiences among European partners. The project had three main objectives: 1. To strengthen the skills of youth workers in inclusive education by developing a multilingual curriculum and organising local training courses. 2. To empower young people with fewer opportunities and youth workers by providing innovative knowledge and techniques through an interactive e-learning platform. 3. To promote the exchange of good practices and strengthen a high-quality strategic European partnership between four partner organisations with different contexts and skills. Through these objectives, the project has ultimately contributed to the dissemination of more inclusive, flexible and effective socio-educational tools and activities.

Activities

The project implemented a series of activities – as described below – ensuring effective management, high-quality results and wide dissemination of these results at local and European level: - Online coordination and management meetings – ensuring communication and monitoring across all partners. - Planning meeting (WP2) – to define the methodology, training structure and key content for the Curriculum. - Output 1: Development of the Curriculum “Training of Youth Workers in Supporting the Social Inclusion of Young People with Disabilities in Leisure and Outdoor Activities”, translated into five languages. - National training courses implemented in Serbia, Slovenia, Greece, and Italy, engaging 80 youth workers. - Output 2: Creation of an interactive E-learning platform offering educational content, tools, and good practices on inclusive leisure and outdoor activities. - Dissemination events: Four conferences – one international (Greece) and three national (RS, SI, IT) – reaching professionals, organisations, key stakeholders and youth.

Impact

The project delivered tangible and sustainable results that reinforced social inclusion and capacity building among youth workers and organisations. - Curriculum: Developed in five languages, offering a detailed training framework for youth workers on inclusion through leisure and outdoor activities. - E-learning platform: An open-access digital tool reaching 2,981 visitors and 4,314 visits , providing training materials, videos, and guidelines for professionals and young people with disabilities. - Local training courses: Conducted in four countries with 80 trained youth workers, who became active multipliers of inclusive methodologies. - Conferences and dissemination: One international and three national conferences, engaging 156 multipliers, stakeholders, and practitioners, ensuring visibility and transferability of results. The project strengthened European cooperation, raised awareness about the importance of social inclusion for persons with disabilities, and provided innovative tools that will continue to inspire organisations beyond the project’s lifetime.
