βΆObjectives
The project aimed to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities (PWD) by promoting the use of Easy Language (EL). Our key objectives were to raise awareness of the importance of EL, develop clear guidelines on how to create EL documents, and train service providers (SP) to produce high-quality EL materials. Through research, we identified existing gaps in EL knowledge and practice, ensuring that the project addressed real needs. The project team also intended to develop and certify training modules to equip SP with the skills to create accessible information. Additionally, by aiming to conduct train-the-trainer sessions we aimed to ensure long-term impact and knowledge transfer as a primary goal of the project. By achieving these objectives, the project would contribute to greater inclusiveness in education and public services, as well as increase efforts for PWD to access essential information, make informed decisions, and fully participate in society.
