▶Objectives
- Increasing civic engagement and participation of youth and youth organisations in understanding of SDGs and EU’s development policy - Create new non-formal activities which will help youth and youth workers gain knowledge, skills and experience. - Work in partnership, exchange practices and develop new resources for youth work. - Promote youth participation in the community and youth led development projects through new offline and online resources. - Raising awareness of SDGs among youth.
▶Activities
The project will 1. Conduct a research on the impact of European youth involvement in development aid projects. 2. Create and deliver a training course for 24 youth workers. 3. Develop a toolkit and pilot youth activities (60 youth) on SDGs and development aid projects. 4. Raising awareness and advocacy activities by creating website, social media channels, videos provided in 3 languages. 5. Hold 6 multiplier events on the outcomes of the project activities reaching 180 stakeholders.
▶Impact
The youth workers who participate are expected to achieve a level of competence in SDGs and development work skills that will allow young people to become more active citizens involved in youth-led projects at community level whether local, national, European or international. Our partnership will be a promoter of youth involvement and participation in tackling the challenges defined in the SDGs. The outcomes will be beneficial for organisations interested in development and youth sector.
