▶Objectives
Our objectives addressed following key areas: a) Beneficiaries – For senior women, particularly Ukrainian refugees, we aimed to improve access to long life learning, enhance language and digital skills, and foster active participation in social and civic life in hosting countries. b) Educators – We sought innovative, inclusive, and creative methods, involving educators in tool development to ensure ownership, practical use, and advocacy. We enhanced the digital competences of the trainers. We also aimed to create a simple system for assessing and validating the achievements of both senior women and trainers. c) Organisation – We valued international cooperation as an opportunity to exchange experiences, know-how, and good practices. This strengthened the organisation’s profile, enhanced language skills, and enriched professional competences.
▶Activities
All planned activities were completed, with several additional results achieved. The identified challenges outlined in the grant application were confirmed in separate forums for educators and senior women in all partner countries. The findings informed the creation and refinement of a handbook for educators, a competency framework, and a map of good practices, produced in national languages and in English. A course Tales2Share was implemented, with syllabi, a validation system , and training modules delivered via podcasts and webinars. A Guide for women with practical guidelines (A.3.2) was produced. Train-the-trainer sessions were held in Cyprus and then disseminated to partner countries.A training platform Tales2Share was developed, enabling badge acquisition (micro-validation) and idea exchange. Information days, workshops for senior women, exhibition, videos, and two online events concluded the project, facilitating networking between coaches and senior women across Europe. Project management and dissemination were carried out in full accordance with the project objectives.
▶Impact
A number of sustainable results and additional products were achieved: A mapping tool of good practices. Training modules for educators. A Handbook for trainers, syllabi, and assessment methods. A competency framework, along with an additional product related to the framework. A training programme for educators and micro-validation methods. A Guide for Women, complemented by additional products such as Storytelling Cards and Canva Scenarios. The Tales2Share Educational Platform was created, including: e-Learning, e-Library, e-Assessment, e-Community, and an e-Digital Storytelling Map. The activities resulted in the empowerment of participants – women aged 55+ (including migrants) who acquired new digital, linguistic, social, and civic competences, along with greater self-esteem and a stronger sense of empowerment. The competency development plan for our organisation’s educators was implemented, enhancing trainers’ skills in storytelling, working with multicultural groups, using digital tools, and applying inclusive education methods. Tales2Share HUBs were created. The competencies of our organisation’s staff in working within international teams have increased.
