▶Objectives
This project aims to tackle financial illiteracy in Europe by contributing to the quality of financial education in schools, empowering the next "adult" generations for more rational, conscious, and informed financial management, and avoiding (serious) problems that come from financial ignorance. As such, the OBJECTIVES are to: - Identify effective practices regarding financial literacy/competences in school education; - Develop students’ financial competences through competence-based learning.
▶Activities
ACTIVITIES - Financial education best practices, methods and tools research; - Teachers/educators work session for revision/selection of effective practices, methods and tools; - Local financial education sessions with students applying the combination of practices deemed more effective; - Virtual mobility with students to address financial literacy from an international stance; - Dissemination events with local policymakers/influencers and neighbouring schools’ representatives.
▶Impact
RESULTS - Student’s financial competences developed; - Increased quality in financial education practices of the organizations/schools involved; - Expanded capacity of participating organizations to work transnationally and across sectors; - Raised awareness about the importance of financial education in school education; - Network of organizations committed to financial education in basic education; - An added value of school education to address common needs towards inclusion/social cohesion.
