Objectives

To develop the writing, research, and editorial skills of young journalists and musicians interested in covering music and culture; To create a cross-border community of music journalists between Romania and Hungary, encouraging mutual learning and long-term collaboration; To raise awareness about the value of high-quality music journalism and cultural media, through the creation and dissemination of a professional methodology and the development of an open-access online platform for publishing music-related content.

Activities

1. Project Management, ensuring coordination, communication, and reporting; 2. A Job Shadowing activity in Budapest, where four Romanian participants worked with Hungarian media professionals; 3. A Training Week in Timișoara, bringing together 15 Romanian and Hungarian participants for workshops in cultural journalism; 4. Development of the trilingual methodology 'How to Become a Music Journalist', co-authored by four senior experts; 5.Launch and development of the Akordaj platform, a bilingual publication and collaborative space for music journalism; 6. Dissemination activities, including publication of 70+ articles, outreach to universities and cultural media outlets, and long-term platform engagement.

Impact

A fully functional, multilingual online platform (www.akordaj.ro), hosting over 70 original articles; A trilingual methodology for music journalism, available for free and used in academic and professional contexts; 15 students trained during a one-week intensive programme, with all producing original content; 4 participants completing job shadowing in Budapest and publishing follow-up work; Strong, ongoing collaboration between Romanian and Hungarian partners and contributors;
