โ–ถObjectives

Through implementing this project, we aimed to achieve four main objectives. First, we sought to build the capacity of the three partner organizations to work with disadvantaged youth through methods combining art with non-formal education. Second, we wanted to develop the competencies of 30 youth workers in creating, adapting, and implementing a minimum of 30 methods that promote inclusion and help increase self-esteem. The third objective was to support the personal development of 120 disadvantaged youth, improve their confidence and communication skills, and offer them the chance to develop artistic skills through dance and stage movement (Romania), theatre (Spain), and music (Poland). Finally, we aimed to promote the inclusion of disadvantaged youth in our local communities by organizing public events that demonstrate the potential and talents of these young people.

โ–ถActivities

We implemented a comprehensive set of activities structured in four main work packages. The first major activity was a 6-day international training for youth workers held in Romania, where 30 participants from the three countries created and learned the newly created methods combining art with non-formal education. This was followed by 6 months of ad-hoc training and mentoring to support youth workers in practically applying the methods. The central activity was implementing local workshops with 120 disadvantaged youth (40 in each country) over 5 months, where they learned dance and stage movement in Romania, theatre in Spain, and music in Poland, alongside non-formal education sessions for self-esteem development. We created three intellectual outputs: a Manual for youth workers with 30 methods, a Workbook for youth, and a professional documentary. The project culminated in organizing three final public events where young people presented their artistic performances to local communities. Finally, we conducted extensive dissemination activities, workshops, documentary screenings, and online campaigns to promote the project results.

โ–ถImpact

The project generated concrete, tangible outputs and significant impacts. The main outputs were three innovative tools: a Manual for youth workers containing 30 methods (15 inclusive art techniques and 15 non-formal education methods), a Workbook for youth with 30 practical activities for self-discovery and self-esteem development, and a professional 48-minutes documentary showcasing the transformation of young people throughout the project, plus a 7-minutes promotional trailer. We organized three final public events that attracted over 600 participants in total, demonstrating the artistic talents of disadvantaged youth. Other important results include training and mentoring 30 youth workers who improved their competencies in working with disadvantaged groups, developing artistic skills and self-confidence for 120 vulnerable young people, and creating a dedicated website hosting all project resources. Additionally, we achieved a significant increase in visibility for partner organizations and enhanced awareness in local communities about the potential and needs of disadvantaged youth.
