Objectives

The concrete objectives of this partnership is to enable our students to be aware of and understand the problems with climate change. They are also to make students active as eco citizens and help them tackle their eco anxiety by giving them tools to cope and nurture hope for the future. We want to make our students see the present as it is and the future as it canbecome. We want to give them strong roots and wings to fly.

Activities

1 Preparatory online event no 1 2. Global goals - An introduction to the UN global goals for sustainability, a field trip to study marine resources and workshops on how to work at school 3. Preparatory online event 2 4. Eco Normandie - Visiting a tidal powerplant, and a hydroelectric powerplant combined with observing local ecosystems. 5. Preparatory online event 3 6. Youth go green - visiting a geothermal injection mill and learning about how busses can run without a driver 7. Conclusion visit

Impact

The project will result in new ways to teach about sustainability. It will also show how different European countries deal with global warming, climate change and renewable energies, give their populations tools for being eco-citizens and hopefully change their everyday behaviour. A possible result might be to have more students wishing to pursue further studies within the field of science in order to be agents of change on a bigger scale.
