The main objective of the project was to educate families of children with special needs through sports and physical activity and to encourage social inclusion and active participation of families in this area. We wanted to raise awareness among families, educators and communities about the benefits of inclusive sports. We aimed to develop the capacity of institutions and individuals by developing practical tools such as the Family Education Kit and providing targeted trainings for educators and coaches. Another important objective was to strengthen cooperation between local and international stakeholders, share best practices and establish sustainable networks for future collaborations. The project aimed to empower families by providing them with resources and knowledge to support their children’s development. Overall, we tried to create a positive and lasting impact on both families, educators and institutions in the field of inclusive education and sports.

We implemented a series of structured activities that emphasized the importance of family education in this area, which aims to promote inclusive sports for children with special needs. We carried out an inclusive mobility with the participation of the Special Sports Federation and expert trainers and coaches in this field with the Turkish mobility. We also carried out a Bulgarian job shadowing activity hosted by FAPA in Sofia, Bulgaria, with the participation of trainers and experts from all project partners. We developed a "Family Education Kit" to support parents and organized awareness workshops and seminars for families, teachers and local institutions. Dissemination activities included social media campaigns and cooperation with local media. We also created a Project Monitoring and Evaluation Guide to evaluate the results. All materials and results were openly shared through digital platforms to ensure sustainability and long-term impact.

The project produced several concrete outputs and significant results. The main intellectual output was the “Family Education Kit,” consisting of six modules tailored for parents of children with special needs, promoting physical activity, communication, inclusion, and social participation through sport. Additionally, a “Project Monitoring and Evaluation Guide” was created to support quality assurance and sustainability. We implemented two transnational mobilities: a training event in Türkiye and a job-shadowing activity in Bulgaria, both enhancing the participants’ competencies in inclusive sport practices. Awareness-raising seminars were organized with families, teachers, and institutions. Project dissemination included regular social media updates, cooperation with local media, and open access to all materials via digital platforms. The project strengthened the capacity of partner institutions, increased awareness of inclusive sport, and empowered families, educators, and communities to support children with special needs through active participation.
