Objectives

The Sustainable Steps project aims to adopt a three-pronged holist approach to promoting sustainability in youth work settings in each partner country. To achieve this, we will address the topics of environmental, social, and economic sustainability, with a focus on green youth initiatives in each partner country. We will promote this approach in youth centres in our regions, and engage diverse young people in inclusive sustainable practices, to build their skills for a greener future.

Activities

For environmental sustainability, we will develop resources to support young people and youth workers to build with natural materials and to engage in gardening activities, emphasising sustainable construction practices. For social sustainability, we will target our efforts towards young refugees and migrants, promoting social integration through gardening. For economic sustainability, we plan to up-skill young people and youth workers to use agricultural land for sustainable practices.
