โ–ถObjectives

This project aims to address the challenges that (vulnerable) students experience when transitioning from primary to secondary education. For that step, collaboration of teachers and school leaders across schools is crucial. We base that collaboration on the implementation of sustainable collective learning through Lesson Study. Improving STEM education is seized upon.

โ–ถActivities

Primary and secondary teachers and school leaders experience elements of Lesson Study. Which is the foundation for the development of a STEPS-LS toolkit. That is developing in co-creation. The toolkit will be deployed in different LS cycles that we conduct in different countries. This experience will lead to adjustments. These activities contribute to a better transitioning of (vulnerable) students from primary tot secondary education.

โ–ถImpact

Close, more focused collaboration between schools (primary and secondary), sustainable professional development through Lesson Study in schools and insights (CK, PCK) in STEM are the outcomes of this project. To this end, the project is developing a supporting STEPS-LS toolkit, this takes into account certain cultural differences. These outcomes should improve the transition of vulnerable students from primary to secondary education.
