▶Objectives
By implementing this project, we aim to promote environmental awareness and sustainability within educational environments through educational activities, collaborations and practical initiatives. We want to improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of young people and education professionals, implement sustainable practices at school and community level, and have a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
▶Activities
We organize various online activities, a local clean-up and two exchanges. A group of students from our school and the school from Malta travel to Aruba to work with the school on waste policy. An Aruba-Malta exchange is also planned. We visit waste processing plants together and develop a joint course that can be used in the three countries.
▶Impact
The results of this project include improved environmental awareness and sustainability within educational settings, strengthened capacity of teachers to integrate sustainability education, behavioural changes among students and school communities, improved waste management and environmental awareness within local communities, and strengthened international partnerships and involvement in sustainability issues and that the schools have tailor-made teaching packages.
