▶Objectives
The main goal of Beyond Violence was to promote healing, empowerment, and awareness through education. Specifically, the project aimed to: Develop innovative educational materials and communication tools for adult educators and survivors. Strengthen educators’ capacities to work with trauma-affected individuals using non-violent communication and empowerment methods. Support women survivors in regaining confidence and social participation. Raise public awareness and foster community engagement in preventing gender-based violence.
▶Activities
The project was implemented between September 2024 and October 2025 and consisted of three main work packages: Development of Educational Resources (WP1) – Creation of the Beyond Violence Communication Handbook in four languages, integrating practical exercises, case studies, and self-reflection tools. Training and Empowerment (WP2) – International educator training in Naples (April 2025) followed by 36 local workshops across Bulgaria, Italy, and Lithuania, reaching more than 360 participants. Community Engagement (WP3) – A final online meeting, national multiplier events, and digital campaigns raising awareness and sharing project results with over 3000 community members. All activities combined expert knowledge with hands-on practice, ensuring real impact at both professional and community levels.
▶Impact
The project produced several concrete results: A Handbook titled "Communicating with Courage: A Survivor's Guide to Healthy Relationships", an open educational resource for educators and support professionals in 4 languages. A new training model integrating trauma-informed pedagogy, authentic communication, and empowerment techniques. Over 360 trained participants, including survivors, educators, and social workers. Three newsletters, 3 online webinars, and social media campaigns reaching wide audiences and encouraging dialogue about gender equality and violence prevention. Strengthened cooperation among partner organisations and creation of sustainable networks for future collaboration. In summary, Beyond Violence empowered both educators and survivors, increased community awareness, and contributed to building a safer, more empathetic, and inclusive society across Europe.
