Objectives

The main objective of the project was to promote the social and economic integration of adults in vulnerable situations by implementing an innovative, holistic approach based on four key elements: inclusion, communication, connection and cooperation. The project set itself the task of developing a sustainable methodology for working with adults outside the labor market or with limited access to social services, taking into account their individual needs and motivation for development. We also aimed to improve the capacity of partner organizations to work with marginalized groups through the exchange of experience, the development of a training program and the implementation of practical activities aimed at building basic skills and confidence in the participants. The project also contributed to the establishment of a sustainable international partnership aimed at increasing the engagement and social inclusion of adults with fewer opportunities.

Activities

Within the framework of the project, three working meetings were held between the partners for coordination and sharing of experience. A field study was conducted through surveys and focus groups in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, with the participation of over 265 people from the target group. Based on the results of the study, an innovative training program was developed, including modules for personal development, psychological support, social skills and digital literacy. The program was implemented through individual and group sessions, with the active participation of 30 selected participants. In parallel, activities for awareness and dissemination of the results were implemented, including publications, events and online content. All activities took place in close coordination between the partners, with an emphasis on adaptation to the needs of the target group and sustainable impact at the local level.

Impact

Within the framework of the project, three working meetings were held between the partners, where the methods of working with the target groups, the structure and content of the training program, as well as the process of selecting the participants were discussed. A survey was conducted with a total of 265 people – 165 in Bulgaria and 100 in North Macedonia. Four focus groups were organized, which provided valuable feedback on the needs and expectations of the target group. Based on this data, a training program was developed, combining innovative approaches for personal development, social inclusion and promotion of active participation in public life. Individual and group meetings were held with the participants. Advertising materials, information brochures and publications were prepared. After completing the training, the participants received certificates. The project was actively promoted through social networks, websites and local awareness channels, which contributed to its wider impact. At the end of the project, a final forum was held, which brought together representatives of the partner organizations, the target group and local communities to present the results and exchange ideas for sustainable development.
