ā–¶Objectives

SeniORGarden aims at empowering seniors to remain socially and physically active through the creation of organic gardens utilising eco-friendly practices and smart technologies. Striving towards bridging the gap between generations and fostering skills and knowledge exchange, the development of the organic gardens will follow a participatory approach in which seniors will collaborate with younger generations.

ā–¶Activities

The following activities will be implemented: • Desk Research on Organic Gardening Practices, Smart Gardening Apps & ICT Competencies Tools • Design & Development of Organic Garden Training Material • Training on the Organic Garden Methodology for partners • Organic Garden Training & Co-Creation for seniors and younger generations • ICT & Smart Gardening Apps Training for seniors • Organic Garden Creation & Mentoring for seniors • Dissemination activities targeting the needs of the target groups

ā–¶Impact

Besides the development of the Organic Garden Training Material and the creation and maintenance of organic gardens, it is expected that SeniORGarden will familiarise seniors with the European Green Deal allowing them to understand the importance of protecting the environment and the necessity of shifting to a more sustainable lifestyle for maintaining healthy and active ageing.
