Objectives

Our project aims to mobilize archives of BiOs, choose appropriate practical tasks, and provide them in a ready-to-use form to teachers in English, Czech, Latvian, Polish, and Hungarian language variants. The project aims to grow after the end of the EU funding and include other science olympiads and BiO from other countries to establish a european platform supporting both teachers and organizers of science olympiads that inspire talented students in their interest in STEM.

Activities

We are going to mobilize archives of the Biology olympiad from four European countries and provide the ready-to-use protocols of biology practical tasks to basic and high school teachers. To reach that goal, we will create a digital platform that will allow each partner to upload adjusted tasks from their archives. Moreover, to support teachers in active usage of the platform we plan to organize workshops and webinars in each participating country.

Impact

We want to establish a digital platform that will provide access to high-quality, tested tasks from Biology Olympiad (BiO) archived from at least four EU countries (Czechia, Latvia, Poland, and Hungary). The tasks on the platform will be available for the public (with special emphasis on pedagogical professionals) in English and national languages along with slight changes in the tasks related to the national specifics (i.e. material availability).
