Objectives

The planned project “promote opportunities of a technology education” is generally about strengthening the technical career field for disadvantaged students without previous experience. The aim is to produce 10 commercials which will support young people in deciding for a future career by creating content that is encouraging, meaningful and appropriate for young people when choosing a future career.

Activities

- Survey to identify why/why not young people choose a technical career - Challanges of a career choice will be identified by using clustering and Oncoo - A SWOT-analysis for the labor market and education system - A lecture from different companies and former students in both countries - A local production site will be visited in both countries - Different technical areas will be experienced - Commercials will be produced and a website created - Second cycle will be implemented

Impact

The main result will be that more disadvantaged and a more diverse group of students will choose a technical career and socio-economic benefits for the EU are to come. The website with the commercials will be widely published and encourage young people to take a technical career - maybe across boarders. It will motivate students to look across boarders and don't be afraid to try something new - neither culturally or professionally.
