▶Objectives
The project aims to prevent drop-outs in the construction industry by improving the fit between career interests and actual jobs and thus overcoming skills mismatch. To achieve this, it focuses on improving career guidance, professionalising recruiting, and enhancing the onboarding phase. The emphasis is on individualised support for new employees/trainees from the start to address deficits and ensure a successful transition.
▶Activities
The project involves identifying company requirements and aligning them with student potential analyses. A methodology for matching skills will be developed. Recruiting and onboarding measures will be assigned and how these measures can be adapted to company‘s needs and the prerequisites of applicants. All content is finally summarised in a manual. And a training in workshop format is developed emphasising effective tool use in the recruiting and onboarding process in companies.
▶Impact
The project will yield a methodology aligning company requirements with skills and assign tools for recruiting and onboarding Emphasis is on adapting and utilizing these tools,with additional support and coaching recommendations. All methods will be compiled into a manual.A training in workshop format will be developed and tested for implementing these tools in companies.Both the manual and training play a crucial role in preventing dropouts through enhanced recruitment and onboarding processes.
