Objectives

The project aims to improve digitization in vocational institutions (topic: welding technology). This should take place through an exchange of experience on the use of simulation methods. Furthermore, the examination acceptance by means of simulations should be discussed. Additional digitizations using AR and VR technology are created and published in the multilingual lessons at the partner institutions and integrated into the homepages.

Activities

The project consists of a total of six meetings with different focal points, at least one at each of the five partner institutions. In addition to the exchange of experience and teaching, the use of examinations is discussed. Various simulations and digitizations will be visited. After further training in AR and VR technology, new digitizations are created for multilingual use. The project and its results are summarized in a multilingual project film.

Impact

It is expected that numerous lesson plans for the use of the welding simulator will be exchanged or provided. In addition, an international competition in welding with the simulator is organized to recreate test situations. The inspection of various digitizations and alternative simulations will encourage the creation of new digitized objects in welding technology. The multilingual project film summarizes the course of the project and its results.
