Objectives

We propose solution, a comprehensive volunteer program aimed at enhancing digital skills among the elderly, is pivotal for addressing the challenges faced by this demographic, including social isolation, difficulties in managing daily life, and diminished participation in contemporary society. This initiative seeks to bridge the digital divide by fostering intergenerational mentorship between young volunteers and older adults, thereby facilitating the latter's integration into the digital world.

Activities

Development of Training Material and Curriculum Creation of age-appropriate digital literacy curriculum. Production of accessible learning materials. Development of online learning platform. WP3: Training and Mentorship Program Recruitment and training of young volunteers for mentorship. Implementation of digital literacy workshops for the elderly. Ongoing support and guidance for participants.

Impact

We expect our project to significantly improve digital literacy among the elderly, foster strong intergenerational relationships through mentorship, and create a sustainable framework for ongoing digital education. Key outcomes include a comprehensive digital literacy curriculum, an accessible online learning platform, and a network of trained youth volunteers, leading to enhanced social inclusion and participation of the elderly in the digital world.
